Communication Training Built From 20 Years at Sky
“If you just communicate you can get by. But if you skilfully communicate, you can work miracles”
Jim Rohn, Author
After 20 years at Sky News and Sky Sports News, I know what effective communication looks like when the pressure is on. I bring that experience into practical, interactive workshops that challenge teams to communicate clearly, make decisions and work together under pressure.
Communicate with Impact is a practical workshop designed to make participants think differently about how they communicate at work. Drawing on my experience at Sky, the session combines realistic scenarios, team exercises and a hypothetical breaking-news challenge to explore how people communicate, collaborate and make decisions when the pressure is on.
Participants practise presenting their ideas, communicating as a team and finding the best way forward. They can also try a mini autocue and receive practical feedback on how they communicate.
Workshops are designed for 6–14 people and delivered in person, either at your workplace or at an off-site location.
The one-day workshop includes:
- What makes great communication?
- Sky reporter masterclass and Q&A
- Communicating under pressure
- Presenting with clarity and impact
- Communicating effectively as a team
- Disagreeing agreeably
- Filmed short edits of the workshop

All workshops are CPD accredited, giving participants recognised professional development hours.

Media Training
“Does anyone have any questions for my answers?” – Henry Kissinger, US diplomat
How do you answer tough questions? How do you look good in a television interview? Can you get good PR from a negative story?
Even some of the most experienced interviewees work hard to make sure they present themselves and their companies well.
Media interviews require more than knowing what to say. You need to communicate clearly, stay composed under pressure and make sure your key messages land.
The media training taster workshop is aimed at those who want to do media work and build confidence in media interviews.
How I can help:
- Preparing for interviews
- What are journalists looking for
- Delivering your message
- Communicating with confidence
- Answering tough questions
Media training works best in small groups and gives a chance to test your interview skills under pressure and deal with several different scenarios.
