In my career at Sky lasting almost 20 years, I have worked across various roles in Sky News, and Sky Sports News. These include producing bulletins, field producing ‘on the road’, working on the newsdesk, planning coverage, on Sky Sports’ digital coverage and also on the special projects team booking high profile guests and making documentaries. One of those –
Football’s Hidden Talent – was shortlisted at the Asian Media Awards.
For the last four years at Sky Sports News, I was a representative on Sky Sports’ Ethnicity and Inclusion Network representing the ethnic minority community and working with leadership to change and improve the diversity, culture and inclusion.
I also occasionally work as a wedding toastmaster at Asian weddings, and really enjoy theatre, trying new vegetarian restaurants, meeting friends locally, attending conferences and networking where I can.
My experience in communications comes in many forms from working with colleagues and on screen reporters and presenters. I quickly learned the importance of great communication while at Sky. Not only can help you be better at your job but it can open doors, help career progression, create better relationships, become more trusted and make friends.
I make all my workshops fun, engaging, practical and based on my own experiences. Nothing makes me happier than helping people and I enjoy staying in touch with those I’ve worked with.
I am married and have always lived in West London enjoying the mix of coffee shops, parks, and finding fun and interesting things to do.I am a Tottenham fan (I put that at the end so you wouldn’t stop reading earlier) and also enjoy reading books on politics and sports autobiographies.
